Apply for a Vehicle Crossing Permit

Use this form to

Apply for a permit to remove, modify, relocate or construct a vehicle crossing within the City of Boroondara. 

To repair a footpath that is not in front of a crossing or internal driveway requires a road opening permit. 

Who can use this form 

• Property owners 
• Applicants on behalf of a property owner 
• Contractors 

To complete, you will need a 

• Detailed site plan showing existing crossings and proposed crossings along with the location of all street assets
• Dial Before You Dig report
• Valid email address

You may also need your planning permit number and stamped endorsed plans. 

Fee 

The application fee is $236.00 plus a credit card surcharge.  

Credit card surcharge: 

• 1.14% – Visa or Mastercard credit card. 
• 0.88% – American Express credit card. 

There is no surcharge for Visa or Mastercard debit cards. 

There is no fee for PayPal transactions.

Once the site assessment has commenced your application fee is not refundable.

• Confirm if you need to get written approvals from other public authorities
• Request any further information required

What happens with your information?

We record your information on our customer database and make it available to relevant Council staff in line with City of Boroondara’s Privacy Statement.

The contact details you provide to Council may be used by Council to contact you in relation to other Council functions and services.
